Lakeesha received a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health in 2023. She holds both an LPC-Associate and an LCDC-I licensure. Lakeesha is a dedicated mental health professional and advocate with extensive experience working with veterans and individuals in crisis. With a background rooted in service, Lakeesha has spent her career empowering individuals to overcome adversity, build resilience, and achieve emotional well-being.

Her journey began with a career in law enforcement, where she gained firsthand experience addressing the complexities of mental health crises within the criminal justice system. During this time, she developed a deep understanding of the intersection between trauma, mental health, and public safety, fueling her passion for advocating for those often overlooked in society. She believes healing begins when you feel, seen, heard and supported; especially when life feels overwhelming. I specialize in helping people untangle the toughest challenges, whether its substance/alcohol abuse, managing behavior struggles or risky situations, trauma, sexual assault recovery, anxiety, and depression. I also stand with first responders, veterans, and families who've seen and carried more than most people could imagine. I know firsthand what it means to perform under pressure while holding onto pain no one sees. I connect with clients with authenticity and respect. I’m not the kind of therapist who just nods and takes notes. My style is real, direct, and non-judgmental. I don't sugarcoat. I’ll challenge you, walk with you through the hard parts, and give you tools that focus on building skills, breaking cycles, and taking your life back.

I use TF-CBT, CPT, expressive arts, and holistic care to help you connect thoughts, emotions, behaviors, challenge unhelpful beliefs, process and express what words sometimes can't, and build healthier coping skills. Sessions are active and personalized; some days skill-based, others creative expression. My goal is to give you a safe, empowering space with tools you can use beyond therapy.
